Bold yellow trees and a vivid cityscape burst with Fauvist energy and modern charm.
Make it yours now. This bold composition centers on sweeping yellow tree forms that press against inky blues and warm reds, set among chimneys, arched windows, and sloped rooftops. Thick, confident brushstrokes carve out leaf shapes, while coral and emerald accents flicker across the foreground like a lively garden. Above, cool whites cut through deep blue sky for crisp contrast. The scene feels urban yet green, a rhythmic play of color blocks and motion that turns everyday architecture into vibrant energy.

About the motif: Trees (c. 1910–1914) by Henry Lyman Sayen channels early modernist energy with a fauvist palette. The sunflower-yellow foliage anchors the center, while cobalt shadows and vermilion accents push the eye across the facades and garden forms. Visible brush texture and hairline craquelure add tactile charm, making the image feel both historic and immediate.
This piece suits living rooms, dining areas, creative studios, hallways, and offices where a confident color statement lifts the mood. It pairs well with neutral interiors that need a focal point, or with eclectic spaces that celebrate bold palettes. It also works as a thoughtful art gift for design lovers and color enthusiasts.
