Veiled martyr in profile with palm and halo, bathed in soft light and tranquil pastels.
Make it yours in the size and finish you love. Une Martyre (Saint Thecla) shows a calm, side‑lit figure in profile, veil draped softly over her hair and shoulders, hands gently clasping a slender palm frond. Two fine halo rings hover near the head, while a muted grid of rosy taupe and pale ochre forms a quiet cross behind her. Subtle brushwork models the skin and fabric with a warm glow, balancing sacred symbolism with understated elegance that blends beautifully into modern spaces.

About the motif: the serene profile and closed eyes suggest contemplation and resilience. The palm frond, a traditional sign of martyrdom, contrasts with the soft veil and blush tones of the tunic. The geometric cross in the background simplifies the space, letting light and texture lead the eye. The palette of creams, rose, and muted gold keeps the scene gentle and timeless.
You can place this piece in a living room, study, hallway, bedroom, or meditation corner. Its muted palette suits minimalist, Scandinavian, and classic interiors, and it pairs well with neutral, blush, or olive accents. It also makes a considerate gift for art lovers, for meaningful life events, or for anyone who appreciates quiet portraiture.
