Expressive oil portrait of a pipe-smoking artist, brushes in hand; available as art print.
Order your Portrait Art Print – Pipe-Smoking Painter by John Aksel Christensen
Ready to make it yours? Create your print now and bring this expressive studio portrait to your wall. A thoughtful painter in a blue shirt and warm brown vest holds a palette and a fan of brushes, a pipe poised at his lips as pale smoke curls into a soft halo. Broad, textured strokes model the face and hands, while a swirl of greens, blues, and gentle yellows sets a calm backdrop. The composition feels intimate and quietly dynamic, capturing the atmosphere of an artist at work.

What Our Customers Say
Thanks for the fast shipping. It arrived just in time for the 18th birthday! :)
Over the years, I have used the free software with full satisfaction, but now I have purchased the professional edition of Foto-Mosaik-Edda. It works wonderfully, I almost lack the imagination to create beautiful artworks. (I have meanwhile gathered a collection of 171 types of Tiles.)
Delivery time was very short! The quality of the product and the packaging were very good.
Premium Materials:
Select from poster, framed poster, canvas, acrylic glass, aluminum dibond, or lightweight foam board. Posters are semi-matte with UV protection; framed prints come in black, white, or natural wood; canvas is stretched on a sturdy 2 cm wooden frame; acrylic adds depth and gloss; alu-dibond delivers a sleek, rigid finish with UV laminate; foam board keeps things light and modern.
Your Artwork
in just a few steps
Here’s how it works: pick your size, choose your material, and decide on a frame color if you’d like it framed. Add an optional white border, preview the result, and check out in a few clicks. No account needed, no hoops to jump through. We print locally with premium inks and ship ready to hang.
Get inspired...
Look closer and you’ll notice the painterly surface: layered brushwork, subtle glazing, and a gentle haze of smoke that softens the edges. Cool background tones push the figure forward, while the vest and palette add earthy contrast. It’s a portrait with character—unhurried, reflective, and rich in texture—perfect for anyone who appreciates craft and the feel of oil on canvas.

Shipping Method: Standard
We aim to use our resources as efficiently and eco-friendly as possible, so it takes up to three business days to produce your picture. After that, the picture will be shipped via standard delivery the next day. The shipping time by the delivery service usually takes between one to five business days (for bulky goods, such as large canvas/acrylic/Dibond formats).
Shipping Method: Express
Like with standard shipping, we aim to optimize production capacities for express shipping
and minimize excessive waste and constant switching between different product types.
Therefore, we allow up to three business days for production. After production,
the picture is shipped express and should arrive the next day. The costs are passed
directly to you without any markup.
Note: Express shipping is unfortunately not available for certain products – you can see if it is available in the cart.
Shipping Method: Priority Express
With Priority Express, or express production, we pause ongoing production
for a product type and prioritize your picture for same-day production
(if the order is received before 8:00 AM). As this interrupts our workflow,
it incurs a significant additional effort for us. This effort is charged
with an express production surcharge. After production, your picture is express
shipped and should arrive the next day.
Note: Priority Express shipping is unfortunately not available for certain products – you can see if it is available in the cart.
Payment Options
We make payment easy. Choose from a wide range of payment options, including payment by invoice, PayPal, credit card, and more. Our shop requires no registration or customer account. Pay in just a few clicks, and we'll start producing your personalized artwork.
