A matador lights a cigarette, a quiet moment after the arena's roar.
Matador Smoking Art Print: After the Bullfight (1873) by Mary Cassatt - Buy now
Create your custom art print now. In this 1873 scene, a matador, still in his ornate traje de luces, leans on a rough timber rail and pauses to light a cigarette after the noise of the ring has faded. Warm light slides across his cheek and the silver embroidery of his jacket, while a vivid red sash anchors the lower edge like a quiet echo of the cape. A thin wisp of smoke curls into a muted backdrop, and the brushwork feels tactile and unhurried, holding that reflective breath after intensity.

What Our Customers Say
Thanks for the fast shipping. It arrived just in time for the 18th birthday! :)
Over the years, I have used the free software with full satisfaction, but now I have purchased the professional edition of Foto-Mosaik-Edda. It works wonderfully, I almost lack the imagination to create beautiful artworks. (I have meanwhile gathered a collection of 171 types of Tiles.)
Delivery time was very short! The quality of the product and the packaging were very good.
Premium Materials:
Materials matter. Our satin-matte poster resists glare and includes UV protection. Framed prints come in solid wood frames in black, white, or natural. Canvas is stretched on a sturdy 2 cm wooden frame. Alu-Dibond delivers a sleek, rigid composite with UV laminate. Acrylic adds glossy depth and fine-art detail. Foam board is lightweight, durable, and clean-edged.
Your Artwork
in just a few steps
Here’s how it works: choose your size, pick your finish—poster, framed print, canvas, acrylic, Alu-Dibond, or foam board—then set orientation, frame color, and optional borders. You see an instant preview and a clear price, no account required. Add to cart, and we produce your print locally and ship it ready to hang with the hardware included.

About the motif: After the Bullfight by Mary Cassatt captures a private pause rather than spectacle. The neutral background puts the focus on the sitter’s calm concentration, the glinting beadwork, and the softly modeled skin tones. Cassatt’s color balance—cool greens and silvers against the warm reds and browns—creates a grounded harmony that reads beautifully at small or large scale.

Shipping Method: Standard
We aim to use our resources as efficiently and eco-friendly as possible, so it takes up to three business days to produce your picture. After that, the picture will be shipped via standard delivery the next day. The shipping time by the delivery service usually takes between one to five business days (for bulky goods, such as large canvas/acrylic/Dibond formats).
Shipping Method: Express
Like with standard shipping, we aim to optimize production capacities for express shipping
and minimize excessive waste and constant switching between different product types.
Therefore, we allow up to three business days for production. After production,
the picture is shipped express and should arrive the next day. The costs are passed
directly to you without any markup.
Note: Express shipping is unfortunately not available for certain products – you can see if it is available in the cart.
Shipping Method: Priority Express
With Priority Express, or express production, we pause ongoing production
for a product type and prioritize your picture for same-day production
(if the order is received before 8:00 AM). As this interrupts our workflow,
it incurs a significant additional effort for us. This effort is charged
with an express production surcharge. After production, your picture is express
shipped and should arrive the next day.
Note: Priority Express shipping is unfortunately not available for certain products – you can see if it is available in the cart.
Payment Options
We make payment easy. Choose from a wide range of payment options, including payment by invoice, PayPal, credit card, and more. Our shop requires no registration or customer account. Pay in just a few clicks, and we'll start producing your personalized artwork.
